I am backkkkkkkk!!!! Well… I kinda took a month break from blogging and my inventory is still a mess. LOL! I had my real birthday roll around and I’m the big two eight now. Whoopie and as a cosmic present the fan in my graphic card went kaboom. So it had to be replaced and I just got back yesterday. Yikes!!! To get back in my blogging groove I went to The Wash and a few other places.
Of course I picked up the tomboyish shirts (shut up eden!) for 10L each from Hellbop. The skirt is actually a gold dress for 10L by Sn@tch. If you’re looking for some cheap textures for building.
Made in Mulberry has some sets for 10L each like this striped wall behind me!

Why Can’t We Be Friends?

It’s because of my skin isn’t it? LOL! While browsing through some flickr groups I came across the first make up set that I’ve been super eager to try on. The makeup pack is currently free at A:S:S. It’s not very often that things like this are available for free and great for roleplay. I don’t know where or how you roleplay but, for me it’s all about the character I am pretending to be. I don’t want to be perfect!

I was inspired to create another shape to go along with the imperfections set I picked up. It comes with moles and blemishes. I love this kind of stuff! Honestly I may be the only one in second life who very much enjoys dressing down instead of up. I get a kick out of it. I named the shape Constance and she is a cutiepie who loves being a fashionista despite her facial flaws. She will rock the feeds!

On Sunday I went clubbin’… pretty much like anything else. That part of SL is a place I don’t visit often. It’s another social environment I never understood. Everyone just stands there dancing without a word talking in private messages. I like chatting so it doesn’t appeal to me that much but, I like the occasional tune-age. There are a couple places I go sometimes for the oldies music and the dance floor is not as stuffy but, I’m always looking for new places to visit when I’m in the mood for tunes.

This particular venue is closing down so I felt I needed to go one more time. It was sock hop night and a retro costume contest. A perfect opportunity to use that poodle skirt from So Many Styles that’s on sale at the dressing room right now and it fits me! Of course I did not win the contest but, oh well. If you know of any clubs with extra friendly people that actually talk. LOL! Please let me know! <3

I was inspired by the new rabbit gift set out at Elan. Masami’s creations are just the cutest. I use the her tinies whenever I go to Linden Realms. I bought both kitten avatars awhile ago and have never been disappointed. So I was flipping ecstatic that Elan had a new release and it was free too!

It amazes me how generous designers can still be after how many years? Don’t hesitate to pick this up because it’s just so damn precious I don’t know how to describe it any better. I hope that Elan releases more animal tinies because I had a lot of fun making these photos. Thank you Masami!

Spoiled Space Brat

I don’t normally run around SL as a child but, for about three weeks in a November. You couldn’t get me to change my appearance for nothing. I was a spoiled space brat and hellbent on a boxes of earthling cereal. The one they call… cookie crisps. LOL! Anyway… it wasn’t until recently while I was sorting that I found Loola Lumps (that’s what I called her) hidden among the clothing folder. I feel bad that I completely forgot about her, lol. When my child shape store was briefly in world (two years ago!) I was in a alien themed kids hunt. Which was enough inspiration for me to get to work on creating Loola and now here she is again. While taking a few photos, it crossed my mind to take her to a scifi roleplay sim. Although I don’t know how she’d be greeted since most RP destinations are very adult.

Loola is still adorable to me after two years. A great example of why I felt I needed to move on to a new blog. If I wasn’t roaming around for freebies. I spent a better part of my SL in a skybox. I had nothing else to do but, create avatars for myself. Now that I have switched blogs completely. I am able to share them all here with you and I am glad I made the change. Nanoo Nanoo!

Skirts Don’t Make Me Weak!

When I recently picked up this dot skirt from petit pas ville I immediately began to think of a gal like myself. Who is trapped between looking cool and feeling girly sometimes. Oh yeah… I think the dust bunnies are having a keg party on this old hoodie I found on the floor of my sl closet. LOL!

I couldn’t resist scooping up the current Marie style group gift from D!VA as side ponytails are always my favorite and most flattering for chub cherub faces. The piercing bright blue eyes are from Amacci in the new moolto hunt and it really brings the look together for me. I am always surprised by the quality of eyes that I find. The Plastik is usually my go-to for a pair of eyes but, these are quite nice!

This lady is a gal I roleplayed with last year for a few months. She was suppose to look goofy and “worked” at the unemployment office. The local studs weren’t too interested in her marital status.

I usually had a chocolate makeup layer over her face and day ol’ donut hanging out of her mouth. She wandered around the grocery store a lot. So I didn’t get any intimate moments out of her. In fact I didn’t get many at all but, she did instill a few laughs during a couple scenes. I quit using her when the roleplay sim closed down for remodeling and switched themes. I called her Trudy at the time. LOL!

While cleaning out my landmark folder. I found these two pretty dresses as group gifts from Feather. I’ve been completely preoccupied with cleaning my inventory for the new year. It’s my resolution!!! I’ve added a small section on the side where I will be updating my inventory number progress every day that I clean. I don’t know why anyone would want to know? I’m weird like that…

How to Use Linden Realms!

You can find the Linden Realms through the destination guide. They are at the top just below Winter Activities. You can choose between three places. I just picked Portal Park 1 as a example. Once you’ve teleported successfully. You land in a safe zone with other visitors. You aren’t there yet so follow the arrows and walk through the glowing gate.

You will drop down to another part of the Realm. At the beginning in front of the base camp spot. A HUD with crystal icons will pop up on your screen. It’s automatic and if you want to take it off. You either replace your current outfit or relog back into Second Life to your home. Now before I go into what’s what. They have some strict rules here. There is no flying and no teleporting unless you die from a monster and yes you can die many times over. You can go to the Linden Realm Wiki for more information on the monsters and deaths. If you happen to fly, teleport, or manage to take off your HUD while still on sim you will be ejected back to your home location since it’s against the rules. Anyway… once your HUD has loaded, start walking!

Follow the stone path along the grass until you get to the appropriate building. It should say “Workshop” on a sign in the front of it. Go inside the workstation and step on the pink/yellow circle that’s on the floor to receive your first quest. There are currently four quests. He will tell you what to do so always keep your local chat open for instructions. You are collecting crystals for him to make flares. Once he gives you the flares, he will ask you to go light his four cannons for him. They are somewhere on the sim but, he gives you the location of each area on the HUD. You can’t teleport through the HUD without getting ejected but, you can click on it so the red arrow points you in the right direction without getting lost. It’s pretty easy to follow if you use the HUD to show you the locations. Every time you complete a task always come back to this workshop to get another flare and a new cannon location for the quests. He will pay you 5L for each of the four quests.

After you’ve completed all four quests there really isn’t much left to do except collect more crystals and cash them in for lindens. Outside the workshop on the left are two crystal collectors. If you have any leftover green or blue crystals from your quests you can trade them in here. 1 Blue Crystal will get you 2L for each one but, those are pretty rare. 1 Green Crystal will get you 1L and those are semi rare. Do no cash in your blue or green crystals unless you don’t want to complete your four quests. Blue and Green crystals are scarce and you will need some for those four quests to be completed.

You can continue collecting other colored crystals but, they do not pay out as fast. 50 Red Crystals will get you 1L, 50 Yellow Crystals will get you 2L, and 50 Orange Crystals will get you 5L. I suggest only going for the Orange ones. I picked up blues and greens along the way. You still have to watch out for monsters as they will get you and send you back to a resurrection spot!

Now once you’ve found the Portal Workshop in the wood’s on Tyrah’s Island. You just stand on the appropriate circle based on it’s color. It will deduct the crystals from you and pay you that amount in lindens. If you have more than 50 than you just keep stepping on that particular circle to be paid again. A bit of caution. This is tedious and I only suggest playing if you have no other way to get the lindens. I just wanted to give it a go to see what it was like. It’s not bad at all if you are bored.

So… Linden Realms bought me a dress and cute fox back pack for this post. I wanted to show you how decent these can be for new people. If you know what to do, finish the four cannon quests, and know where to go from there. You can turn in the colored crystals for lindens. A couple hours of gathering can be a little profitable. I know 72L is not much lindens for 2-5 hours of scavenging however the amount can vary depending on what you find at random. I think it pays more than 2L a hour at a camping spot and slightly less boring since you have to dodge monsters. It’s like a sim hunt. I’m assuming it’s still in testing stages but, if they ever raised the linden prize amount I could definitely see this thing replacing some grid hunts. I think it’s a good start for new people to get in on the shopping and sales events. Some lindens are better than no lindens and 70L is 70 dollarbies, 14 items for 5L, 7 items for 10L, or this nice dress I got on. It was only 30L, backpack was 5L, and I have 37L left over. All because I played Linden Realms for a couple hours today. It gives you something else to do in here for new and old residents. I like it!

I’m guessing the only snow I’m going to have this Christmas is the lovely flakes falling on this page. Which is totally going to suck because Christmas without snow and a lingering bronchi cough is gonna leave me one grumpy ol’ grinch this year. So hopefully that jolly bowl full of jelly gives me a raise or I’m going on strike until his candy canes fall off. That’s right Santa. I am on strike. Strike!!!!
